ThinkerMetrics (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a digital analytics learning platform. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

  • Account information -name and email address when you create an account.
  • Learning progress -flashcard ratings, phase completion, streak data, and study history.
  • Game scores -scores, decisions, and player-chosen aliases submitted through our public games.
  • Usage data -pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns to improve the platform.

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide and personalize the learning experience.
  • Track your progress across flashcard phases and games.
  • Display leaderboard rankings (using player-chosen aliases, not real names).
  • Improve the platform based on aggregated usage patterns.
  • Communicate important updates about the platform.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate ThinkerMetrics:

  • Supabase -authentication and database hosting (stores your account and progress data).
  • Vercel - web hosting, content delivery, and privacy-friendly analytics (cookieless page view tracking; no personal data collected).
  • YouTube -embedded video content (subject to Google's privacy policy).

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal cookies and browser local storage for:

  • Authentication session management (Supabase auth tokens).
  • Remembering your game alias and preferences.
  • Offline flashcard data for PWA support.

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Public Game Scores

When you play our public games (User Metrics Arcade, Fun With Data, Video Analytics Manager), you choose an alias that appears on the public leaderboard. No real names or email addresses are displayed publicly. Game scores and decisions are stored to power leaderboard rankings.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon request, we will delete your account, learning progress, and game scores within 30 days.

Your Rights

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and data.
  • Export your learning progress data.

Children's Privacy

ThinkerMetrics is designed for university-level students and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of ThinkerMetrics after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
